We are a group of "empty nesters", who are seriously committed believers in Jesus Christ. We meet on a weekly basis in our "country" Church facility to practice our faith, worship the Lord and find our place of service to the Lord Jesus. We are fundamental and non-charismatic in beliefs, and if you need to categorize us we are simply bible-believing people gathered together to do God's will and learn deeply of His Word.

THE BOOK OF 1 PETERToday we begin another study in the New Testament. We are looking into the Book of 1 Peter. Among the disciples of the Lord, Peter's name is most recognizable. However, he only wrote two of the New Testament epistles. Peter wrote this epistle shortly before the terrible persecution that broke out in the Roman empire, fueled by the crazed emperor Nero. So Peter's letter was to be an encouragement to the suffering church, which fits any generation or people. The main goal of this Christian life is to be faithful to imitate the life and living of the Lord Jesus Christ while on earth, and to realize that once we become children of God by faith in Jesus Christ, we are no longer of this world. Come learn what Peter means and says about that for you and me.
